Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the weather data come from?

All weather data (METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs, and charts) is sourced directly from aviationweather.gov, the official public API operated by NOAA and the National Weather Service.

Is the AI briefing a replacement for an official weather briefing?

No. SkyBrief is a supplemental tool. Pilots should always obtain an official weather briefing from an approved source (e.g., 1800wxbrief.com or FSS) before every flight.

What aircraft are supported for Weight & Balance?

SkyBrief includes built-in profiles for common GA aircraft (Cessna 172, Piper PA-28, and more). You can also create custom aircraft profiles with your own empty weight, arm, and CG envelope data.

Does SkyBrief work offline?

SkyBrief requires an internet connection to fetch current weather data. Your personal minimums, saved aircraft, and settings are stored locally and available offline.

How do I report a bug?

Send an email to skybrief.app@gmail.com with a description of the issue, the device you're using, and any screenshots if possible.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Settings tab within the app. This removes your Firebase authentication data. Local data is removed when you uninstall the app.
